Several weeks ago, we posted a story by Janet Cockburn about how her experiences as a breast cancer survivor led her down an unexpected path and turned her into an inventor. After being treated for breast cancer, Janet joined a group of survivors who were starting a dragon boat team. On the team, she made some enlightening discoveries: how important exercise was to her physical and emotional health, how much joy she got from being part of such a supportive group of women, and just how difficult it was to find a sports bra after a mastectomy and to use a regular prosthesis during exercise.

Those last discoveries led Janet to create the Janac sports bra and the Been-A-Boob® prosthesis.
